It’s not what you know, but who you know. If you think about any opportunity that you’ve been afforded, how did you achieve it? Unless you were randomly picked from a pile or you won based upon your works, it very likely you were granted your opportunity because someone knew you.
If you understand that the people in your life can help you achieve your goals faster, than you are in the right state-of-mind. If you haven’t done so yet, jot down your aspirations in life. What do you want to do? In 1 year? 5 years?
With your goals listed down, you need to take a like at all your resources–namely, the people you kno. So Who do you know? Why do you know them? Can you contact them through email or a phone call?
The act of achieving something without anyone else’s involvement can be rewarding; however, very time consuming and expensive.
